'saaj's Kitchen Kabinet'Edit

This is first post in this category “our Kitchen Kabinet”.

For some cooking is like meditation. You can consider me one of those (not all the time). Most of the time while cooking my focus is never about getting exact measures of ingredients. Some times for lack of availability of that ingredient in ‘our Kitchen Kabinet’ my mind thinks of using a substitute. Being surrounded by the aroma of the ingredients puts me in mood for the experience. The sound of splattering of various seeds in heated oil ( વઘાર, तड़का ) keeps me focused on the process. Can not imagine not Getting fingers and clothes (some times kitchen cabinet too) stained with colorful ingredients. So far I have procrastinated about starting this page. Only for the reasons mentioned above. I experiment with various ingredients but when it comes to cups, teaspoon, tablespoon, you will have to rely on your judgement and your personal preferences (taste buds too).

'our Kitchen Kabinet' is not always stocked with every kind of spices/condiments. But any thing can be prepared with things on hand....
